The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro was officially launched on March 5, 2026. It marks a significant shift for Nothing’s mid-range line, moving away from the signature transparent plastic back toward a more premium, industrial aesthetic.
The phone is available in three colors: Black, Silver, and Pink.
Key Features & Design
Metal Unibody: For the first time in the "a" series, Nothing has used an all-metal unibody design. At only 7.9mm thick, it is the thinnest Nothing phone to date.
Glyph Matrix: While the standard 4a has a "Glyph Bar," the Pro model features the Glyph Matrix—a circular arrangement of 137 mini-LEDs on the back that acts as a low-resolution display for notifications, timers, and "Glyph Toys."
Advanced Zoom: It introduces a 50MP periscope telephoto lens capable of 140x digital zoom, which Nothing markets as the most powerful zoom in its class.
Core Performance & Hardware
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (4nm) chipset, providing significant AI and graphics improvements over its predecessors. It runs Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16 right out of the box.
Processor: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Octa-core (up to 2.8 GHz)
RAM/Storage: Available in 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB (LPDDR5X + UFS 3.1)
Battery: 5,400 mAh (Indian variant) with 50W wired charging and 20W wireless charging support.
Durability: IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
Display & Glyph Matrix
The Phone (4a) Pro features Nothing's brightest screen to date, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Type: 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED
Refresh Rate: Silky-smooth 144Hz
Brightness: Industry-leading 5,000 nits peak brightness
Glyph Matrix: A new circular arrangement of 137 mini-LEDs on the back that functions like a secondary display for notifications, battery status, and timer progress.
Professional Camera System
The "Pro" designation is most evident in the camera array, which introduces a powerful periscope lens.
Main: 50 MP Sony LYT-700C sensor with OIS (f/1.88)
Telephoto: 50 MP Periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 140x hybrid ultra-zoom
Ultra-Wide: 8 MP (120° field of view)
Front: 32 MP wide-angle (89° field of view)
Video: Supports 4K Ultra XDR recording at 30 fps
