One UI 9 Update Rolling Out: Features, Devices, Dates | One UI 9 Eligible Devices: Is Your Samsung on the List?

 

Samsung was going to launch globaly One UI 9, Android 17 to latest samsung smartphones. This update will start on  September 16 for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra, mobiles the next major software upgrade for Samsung smartphones.

One UI 9 is not just like a old one ui. this one ui 9 has more new ways to personalise day to day informations, improved camera and productivity tools, and added more security and privacy controls to the samsung smartphones.

The update was already introduced on Samsung's latest foldable smartphones (Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8).

For other devices, Samsung said One UI 9 update will receive step by step to  more Galaxy smartphones and tablets, deponding upon availability varying by market and carrier.

Samsung S26 Series:

The Samsung S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra are the first devices to receive the one ui 9 update. At the first step Samsung will the release the beta testing on September 16. And let see what type of the feature update in the one UI 9.0.

1.My FanCam :

My Fancam is a AI video edting feature which is available in samsung gallery app. the main feature of this fancam was focus the wide angle video footage by choosing the prefered the person or objects in ceratin prefered aspect ratio in the gallery app .this feature was most helpfull to vloggers for focuing the certain object or people during the vlogs.

How to Turn On Fancam:

1. Open  Gallery app on your Samsung phone and select the video you want to edit.
2. Tap the Galaxy AI icon .Select My FanCam .
3. Wait a few seconds for the AI to detect the people in the frame, then tap on the object or person you want the video to focus.
4. Choose your preferred screen aspect ratio.
5. click on apply and make a copy of the footage. 

2. Now Brief:

Now Brief is a personalised information feature. this feature is helpfull for users deiplaying the infromation to thier daily summaries. generally this feature geneartes editable cards, pined messages, allret messages about weather, important reminders, videos to users. 

How to Turn On Now Brief:

1. Tap Lock screen and AOD (or Lock screen).
2. Click on Now bar and activate Now brief.
3. To adjust which categories and prompt based cards are shown, navigate to Galaxy AI settings. 

3.Now nudge:

Now nudge is a AI feature this will analyse you screen and messages of your real time usage and suggest the tips, ideas , auto fills in forms, searching.

How to Turn On Now Nudge:

1. Open your phone's Settings
2. Tap Galaxy AI.Select Now nudge and turn it on.
3. Tap Personal data intelligence and activate it.
4. Select Manage personal data to add or update your info

4.Creator studio:

Creator studio is also known as drawing feature this feature is more helpful to the draw objects to images, creating the objects to the images, stickers. to enable this feature you need to login with samsung account. 

How to turn on creator studio:

1. To enable Creative Studio, enter your phone's settings.
2. Tap Galaxy AI.Click on Creative Studio and toggle it On.

5.Document scanner:

You can scan documents on a Samsung Galaxy phone without installing anything extra. Menu names vary slightly by One UI version.

How to turn on this feature:

1. Open Camera in Photo mode and point it at the document on a flat, well-lit surface.
2. When the phone detects it, a yellow outline appears with a Scan button (sometimes "Tap to scan document").
3. Tap it, adjust the corners if needed, and tap Save. You can also choose to save as PDF or an image.
4. If the Scan button doesn't appear, open Camera settings and turn on Scene optimizer.

6.voice recorder:

Voice Recorder option was used to record the Standard, Interview (uses the top and bottom mics), and convert the Speech-to-text .Tap the red record button. You can bookmark moments while recording.Tap a saved recording to play it. From there you can trim it, or use Transcribe and Summarize if your phone supports Galaxy AI. The first time, you may need to download a language pack.

7.New Security And Privacy Tools:

The update adds Privacy Alerts, which will bring on-device AI to help detect potential privacy concerns, such as apps trying to access permissions when they're not being used. Samsung is also rolling out its Scam Detection to other countries and languages.

One UI 9 is Samsung's update on Android 17. It is currently being deployed, but may not be available on your phone yet.

Headline features

A Warranty and Care hub displays warranty status, book repairs with cost estimates and performs diagnostics. 

A Galaxy AI Assistant Activity dashboard keeps records of what apps Galaxy AI accessed and did. 

Privacy Alerts alert developers if their apps are using excessive location data or asking for unnecessary background access. 

Adjustable Mouse Key speed, a combined Talk Back package and Text Spotlight are all features included with accessibility. 

The look looks slightly different, the brightness and volume sliders are thicker and the media player widgets are resizable. 

This release includes the Voice Recorder changes mentioned above (transcription in the cloud, managing storage).
